Overview

​

Our client is a student accommodation provider in Coventry. They offer a range of options from whole houses, bedrooms with shared bathrooms, en-suites and studios. These serviced apartments are considered to be premium accommodation, in order to facilitate the stay away from home and family. They are currently in the pre-launch stage. They are looking for an Operations Manager to work on the strategic innovation and incubation project.

 

We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual for an Operations Manager role. The individual will strive to meet the organisational goals and objectives by offering such skills as leadership, management, relationship building and communication skills. A good level of Mandarin and English speaking is required, in addition to an understanding of the property market, operations and project management.

Role Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Project management of complex, interdepartmental challenges through collaboration, organisation and planning.

  • Find the best solutions through iteration and learning from mistakes.

  • Manage innovation projects and experiments end-to-end.

  • Strive to manage projects within set budgets and agreed timescale.

  • Take the lead on tests of new initiatives with an “all hands on deck” approach, and playbook your learnings to help shape the future of our business.

  • Brainstorm ideas to bring to the table, whether that is testing new product experiences or business models.

  • Quantify and analyse all operations and procedures.

  • Utilize data-driven decision making to understand the performance of experiments to and ensure high return on investments.

  • Collaborate closely with colleagues in other regions and other functional teams.

Ideal Candidate

  • Fluent in English and Mandarin. Abilty to speak Cantonese will be beneficial, but is not required.

  • Exceptional communication skills.

  • Ability to manage a project and create accurately detailed execution plans for large-scale projects.

  • Multi-tasking and able to prioritise.

  • Creative mind-set and result oriented.

  • Be proactive, polite and professional in order to exceed goals and objectives.

  • Ability to lead a team of 3 people.

  • Data-driven approach to decision making

  • Experience in leading start-ups to success, operations management and consulting or project management.
