Founded in 2013, our client has HQ in London and operations throughout the UK, Europe and USA.

 

We are seeking a candidate who is passionate, has an excellent understanding and experience of supply chain and purchasing operations. The candidate must also be proactive and have experience liaising with Chinese suppliers/factories. Since most of their products are manufactured in China, they require a fluent/native Mandarin and English speaker to manage supply chain and purchasing operations.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Liaising through phone calls and emails with suppliers- 15 Chinese factories.

  • Oversee existing orders in production by communicating with suppliers.

  • Placement of new orders with suppliers.

  • Negotiation of contracts and prices with the suppliers.

  • Cooperate with quality control inspectors in China.

  • Resolve any existing issues regarding factories and suppliers.

  • Support Operations Manager in the supervision of logistics operations

  • Support in monitoring shipments which are in transit.

  • Sourcing of new products, factories and suppliers using previously gained knowledge of the Chinese market.

  • Explore opportunities to launch and develop our brands in China through E-commerce market.

  • Plan and implement platform launch in China through Chinese culture and online shopping knowledge.

 

 

Ideal Candidate

​

  • Excellent written/verbal English and Chinese

  • Experience in supply-chain

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and negotiation expertise.

  • Teamwork approach and customer focused.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise.

  • Familiar Chinese culture and background.

  • Experience sourcing products from Chinese suppliers and manufactures.

  • Candidate must be eligible to work in the UK for at least 6 months.

  • Visa sponsorship may possibly be provided after 3 month probation period.
