Our client is a leading distributor and manufacturer specialising in premium home bar, outdoor kitchen and garage equipment. They work for a variety of household names to distribute their products, as well as running a successful and bustling e-commerce channel. They pride themselves on offering products tailored to each customer's needs and budgets, helping to attend to all customers and leaving them with plenty of room for expansion. They are seeking a hard-working and motivated Quality Control Manager with an entrepreneurial spirit to join their team. 

 

You will be the face of the brand regarding quality inspections, contract manufacturing and third-party suppliers. It is your job to ensure that all quality guidelines and expectations are met through the company at a consistent level, and the appropriate improvements are made when required.

Responsibilities

​

  •  Work across different departments including Product Development and Engineering to promote understanding of the product expectations and risks. 

  • Create Product Quality Management plans for each different product line focusing on risks and compliance.

  • Offer support and training to quality control teams in line with the Product Quality Management plans.

  • Generate weekly/monthly quality reports for the Product Quality management plan.

  •  Schedule third-party inspections and ensure resources are correct for quality checks and manufacturers. 

  • Implement quality systems to monitor the quality of products and meet KPI targets.

  • Overlooks customer complaints and incidents to identify causes and make room for improvements. 

  •  Works across a range of launch events to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently to the brand standards.

  • Lead and schedule supplier audit programs including Social Compliance, Quality systems and security.

 

 

Ideal Candidate

​

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field e.g. industrial or mechanical engineering.

  • Minimum of five years of experience in quality assurance/management.

  •  Excellent attention to detail and knowledge of manufacturing products and materials.

  • Highly organised and manages time effectively whilst working on multiple projects at the same time.

  • Great communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Mandarin speaking is desirable but not essential.

  • Willing and able to travel several times across the year for 1-2 weeks at a time.
