Overview

Our client is a digital advertising company that acts as the bridge between China and Western brands. This includes the launch and promotion through digital channels of brands into the respective foreign market. These objectives are accomplished by using gained insights in order to create respective strategies; these are then executed into the designated channels from both areas. Chinese digital channels include Web, WeChat, Weibo and others; which are used to launch and maintain relationships with western brands in China. Furthermore, the company mainly uses western channels as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to create relationships and promote Chinese brands to the Western market.

 

We are seeking a Chinese SEO Manager that has an energetic approach to work and an eager to create personality. The ideal candidate will be passionate for digital marketing and be willing to go the extra mile in order to achieve organisational goals. In addition, the candidate is required to have a high level of Mandarin and English speaking capabilities, the individual will also have as a prerequisite, at least 2 years of SEO activity experience.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Enhance and increase landing pages in search engine optimization.

  • Perform keyword research to discover new keyword optimization.

  • Testing, collecting and analysing of data/results in order to identify trends and opportunities.

  • Report and examine website analytics and PPC initiatives.

  • Manage expenses and budgets

  • Analyse competitor’s links

  • Supporting the Performance Director in mentoring and training of SEO Executives.

  • Leading client meetings and quarterly reviews alongside team members.

  • Assist in development and delivery of pitches.

  • Develop and implement link building strategy.

  • Be proactive and have initiative to offer improvement recommendations to other departments that affect the SEO directly or indirectly.

  • Quickly build working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

 

 

Ideal Candidate

 

  • 2-3 years of agency experience in SEO position.

  • Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin.

  • Management experience

  • Interest in digital marketing and global cultures.

  • Strong project management skills

  • Excellent Microsoft office skills- specifically Excel.

  • A high level presentation and client interaction skills.

  • Comfortable working with numbers and budgets.

  • Knowledge of SEO activities and skills.

  • Desire to constantly develop and grow.

  • Knowledge of related fields: Web analytics, PPC and social media.
